About Regional Peacekeepers (RPKC):
The RPKC Initiative focuses on individuals at the highest risk of victimization or perpetration of gun violence across King County. The program provides wraparound case management and follow-up care tailored to the needs of individuals and families directly impacted by violence. Participants are identified through critical incident response, street outreach, law enforcement contact, hospitalization, and prosecutorial data. The initiative offers a network of service providers that address safety, relocation, trauma-informed care, legal advocacy, and emergency support for affected families.
The Role: RPKC Manager
The RPKC Manager will oversee and support CARE Coordinators and Case Managers in delivering intensive, trauma-informed services to high-risk participants. This position is responsible for ensuring quality case management, program compliance, strategic planning, and direct team supervision. The RPKC Manager will act as a liaison between Freedom Project, partner organizations, and community stakeholders, ensuring alignment with best practices for violence prevention, harm reduction, and case coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Management & Leadership
- Provide supervision, training, and coaching to CARE Coordinators and Case Managers.
- Ensure the successful implementation of wraparound case management and violence intervention strategies.
- Manage program workflows, team schedules, and documentation processes to maintain consistent case management across all participants.
- Lead weekly team meetings to review high-risk cases, discuss trends, and identify solutions to challenges.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with external agencies, including social service organizations, hospitals, law enforcement diversion programs, and community-based networks.
- Facilitate and work with program director to build out programs.
Case Oversight & Support
- Ensure case planning and safety protocols are in place for participants, including:
- Risk Assessments & Safety Plans
- Individualized Service Plans for education, employment, life skills, and well-being goals
- Conflict Resolution & Harm Reduction Plans
- Trauma-Informed Support & Family Engagement Strategies
- Oversee documentation and compliance, ensuring that case records, legal documents, incentive payments, and reporting metrics are maintained accurately.
- Provide guidance and direct support to CARE Coordinators handling high-risk participants or complex cases requiring additional intervention.
Violence Prevention & Community Collaboration
- Act as a primary liaison between Freedom Project, RPKC service providers, and community partners to ensure coordinated service delivery.
- Participate in critical incident response efforts, assisting in direct intervention when necessary.
- Lead violence prevention initiatives in collaboration with partner organizations to address systemic barriers affecting Black, Indigenous, and Communities of Color.
- Represent Freedom Project at community meetings, public forums, and stakeholder convenings related to violence prevention and community healing.
Training, Compliance & Program Development
- Ensure that all CARE Coordinators and Case Managers complete mandatory training in trauma-informed care, de-escalation, conflict resolution, and safety planning.
- Track program effectiveness through data collection, case tracking, and qualitative impact reporting.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify funding needs and contribute to grant applications or reporting.
- Keep the team informed of policy changes, best practices, and emerging trends in violence prevention and case management.
Qualifications:
- Lived experience with gun violence, incarceration, or systemic violence preferred.
- 3 years of experience in case management, violence intervention, community outreach, or social services.
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and restorative justice principles.
- Experience working with diverse, high-risk populations, particularly youth (16-24) and communities affected by systemic violence.
- Ability to manage and maintain confidential records and case files.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with King County social services, legal systems, and community-based resources.
Compensation & Work Environment:
- Salary: $80,080 annually
- Full-time, in-person role with some limited remote flexibility.
