Job Overview
We're on the hunt for a top-notch Nurse Practitioner to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional care to patients in a Substance Abuse Treatment setting, tackling a range of medical needs and teaming up with the Medical Director to uphold the highest standards of care. This position calls for a deep understanding of substance abuse protocols, stellar clinical skills, and the agility to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with standards and regulations.
- Educate patients on health management, preventive care, and follow-up procedures.
- Stay informed about current practices in urgent care, including workers compensation law and working with people in substance abuse recovery.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Current Nurse Practitioner certification with a valid Virginia state license to practice.
- Experience in urgent care, substance abuse treatment or mental health preferred; familiarity with inpatient settings is a plus.
- Knowledge of clinical research methodologies and standards related to Substance abuse practicies.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and families.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on best practices in the subtance abuse treatment industry.
