Addiction Recovery Technician PRN

Freedom Recovery is a drug & alcohol recovery center in Pocatello that is owned and managed by a passionate group of individuals with one goal in mind; to help good people and their family reclaim their lives and be freed from the bonds of addiction. We offer inpatient and outpatient substance abuse and mental health services to adult men and women.

Freedom Recovery has an opening for a_ Per-Diem_Recovery Technician at our Pocatello, Idaho facility. We are looking for that lifetime hire. Invest in us and we will invest in you!

Job Summary: This position is PER-DIEM. Our facility is open 24/7 and this candidate may be asked to cover any 8 to 12 hour shift in a given week as the need arises. The most common needs will be on the weeknight graveyard shift from 10pm to 8am, weekend graveyard shifts from 9pm-9am, and occasionally a weekend day shift from 9am-9pm. With these potential shifts an ideal candidate may be an individual working part time hours on weekdays at a different job, or someone retired looking for occasional work. Flexibility is the key! We are a small business that is growing, and we work hard to take care of all our employees, and show them our appreciation daily. During the shift the potential candidate should expect to assist and document the delivery of medications to clients, monitor /interact with clients, assist the clients with their Step-Work assignments, and generally ensure the presence and safety of all clients via hourly checks. Most of the time you will work independently with an On-Call Manager available to you at all times. Candidates will provide support to clients while adhering to the Freedom Recovery Vision and Mission Statement. Salary: $20.00 per hour

Essential Functions: Promote a respectful, ethical, safe and healing sanctuary environment. This includes respectful communication with all others at the job site, safe behaviors and a positive attitude.

• Create timely, accurate and professional documentation of services provided, and other records as required.
• Provide self-administration of medications accurately and documenting all medications taken.
• Maintains knowledge of and adheres to Company policies and procedures.
• Competent and knowledgeable in ethical standards and confidentiality matters.
• Communicates well and has a positive up-beat attitude.
• Use of an electronic based records system and the use of common office equipment such as phone and pc.
• Employee behavior should reinforce the skills taught in the program and reflect well on the image of the company.

Requirements: Must have a valid driver license and possess physical and mental health that is adequate to perform job duties.

• Must pass pre-hire requirements including an enhanced criminal background check and drug screening.
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience working with individuals with substance use and mental health disorders is a plus, but not required.
• Empathetic and open-minded, with the ability to embrace change and set clear and firm boundaries with clients.
• The ability to collaborate and problem-solve as part of team.
