JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an office manager to work with a 7-person team of feminist, anti-racist, and radical activists, in our office near the University of Washington.
Your role is to maintain the office and its systems, develop an effective, efficient, smooth-running office, and work with the team to promote the group’s goals.
Duties would include:
· Take staff meeting minutes
· Type, proofread, file, balance books, copy and mail materials as needed
· Answer phones, welcome guests
· Track and update lists, logs, timesheets and MailChimp email addresses
· Distribute email, inter-office and U.S. mail
· Inventory and order supplies
· Troubleshoot copier and other office equipment. Schedule repairs if needed.
· Post flyers, drop off newspapers, keep up bulletin boards and staff calendar
· Help clean office
Requirements:
· High School graduate or GED
· Able to speak and write English
Skills needed:
· Familiar with MailChimp email system and social media posting
· Proficiency in MS Office and MS Excel
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Strong organizational and planning skills
Skills that would help:
· Past experience as an office manager, secretary, or administrative assistant
· Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently
· Attention to detail
· A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements
· Spanish speaker
