Our Independent Living is currently hiring an LVN! The candidate must demonstrate knowledge of and ability to apply basic principles of nursing care.
Requirements: Current license as a Vocational Nurse in California. Current CPR. One year plus experience and or education in the care of the elderly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- LVN aids residents in emergencies and in daily living activities.
- Checks in at the reception desk and receives report from the night shift EMS personnel.
- Fill medication according to Physician orders and prescribed labels.
- Organize and coordinate resident medication (can be filled 24 hours in advance).
- Follow up on Physician orders.
- Document wound care on daily report form. Notify Physician regarding wound care.
- Administer resident medication as needed and ensure resident take their medication.
- Apartment visits for ill, injured residents.
- Daily phone and/or apartment checks for residents who do not check in. Coordinate with the Receptionist.
- Respond to all Red Alerts and emergency calls.
- Run daily Wellness clinic for minor medical problems, BP checks and dressing changes.
- Complete and follow up on incident reports and Red Alert forms.
- Assist with filing and maintain resident charts.
- Record medication on the centrally stored record log. Save
- Re-order resident medication and supplies for the Wellness clinic as needed.

Offer of employment is contingent upon successful fingerprint clearance
through Department of Justice, physical exam, TB and drug and alcohol
screening, and Covid-19 test. All staff must be Covid-19 vaccinated by 9/30/2021 or provide proof of vaccination.
Schedule: 7:30am to 4:00pm. Every other Saturday to Tuesday, 2 - 3 days per week
Rate: $32.00
