Freedom Village Healthcare Center has an immediate opening for a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse to join our team!  New grads welcome! 

Requirements:

Current license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse in California. Current CPR

Clinical skills, bedside manner, infection control, nursing skills, physiological knowledge, administering medication, medical teamwork, multi-tasking, listening, verbal communication, health promotion and maintenance

Job Responsibilities

Administrative tasks, gathers medical information prior to admission

Provide resident care upon admission

Administer medication or take vitals as necessary

Examine and provide education to the resident regarding the admission process

Identifies resident care requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and current residents and other persons in a position to understand care requirements

Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to residents, friends, and families

Promotes resident’s independence by establishing patient care goals; teaching resident, friends, and family to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills; answering questions

Maintains acceptable standards of nursing practice with compliance of mandatory standards established by Freedom Village

Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against resident care goals and standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments; following facility and nursing division's philosophies and standards of care set by state board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations

Prepares, administers, and charts medications according to the physician’s order and schedule as directed by the procedure manuals, state regulations (Title 22, OBRA) and reports to physician as needed

Responsible for interpretation and execution of the physician’s orders

Makes decisions in emergency situations and practices first aid measures. Follows policy and procedures for safety, resident rights, reporting requirements, and emergency situations such as fire and earthquakes

Responsible for accurate observations, evaluations and reporting of resident’s symptoms, reactions and progress to the Director of Nursing, Administrator and others participating in care and treatment of the resident

Assists in discharge process of residents.

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 7:00am to 7:30pm 
LVN Salary: $36 - $39 per hour DOE. 

RN Salary: $47-$49 per hour DOE.
