ANNIE CHERNOW MUSIC SCHOLARSHIP : (Freehold Township High School Students)
One (1) $1,500 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior from Freehold Township High School.
About Annie Chernow : Annie Chernow is a musician and graduate of Freehold Township High School. While in high school, Annie performed with every ensemble Freehold Township High School offered. She excelled in Honors Band and Percussion Ensemble and was accepted to the Region II Bands and the All Shore Bands. After high school, Annie went on to the University of Delaware, where she excelled as a percussion major specializing in marimba. In addition, Annie marched multiple years with the Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps and is now a Front Ensemble instructor with Carolina Crown. She graduated from the University of Delaware in 2014 and in 2016 graduated with a Master’s Degree in Percussion Performance from the University of Minnesota Duluth. Annie served as the Percussion Director for Coppell ISD in Coppell, Texas for three years and taught around the Dallas Fort Worth area for 5 years. Annie is currently working for her family business as Executive Director of San Juan Music, a music licensing company.
Selection Criteria :
The recipient will be chosen by the Freehold Township High School Music Department and will be presented at the Annual Senior Awards Ceremony.
All applicants must submit a letter of interest and brag sheet to the Freehold Township High School Music Director (via Applitrack).
