Job Summary:
As an Accounting Associate at Freeland Chevy Superstore, you will play an integral role in our financial operations. You will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting and finance tasks, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions and reports. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-paced team in the automotive industry. This is a full-time, hourly position located in Nashville, Tennessee and reports to the Controller.

Responsibilities:
- Assists in Accounts Receivable duties.
- Finalize daily bank reconciliation within DMS.
- Prepares monthly title and MSO reconciliations for Freeland Auto.
- Completes monthly floorplan reconciliations for new and used vehicles.
- Manages and maintains the dealership reserve payments.
- Performs daily bank deposit run.
- Remit IRS for 8300.
- Assists with conducting monthly cash drawer audits.
- Assists with general office filing duties.
- Billing and title processing for all dealer trades, wholesales, and street purchases.
- Processing parts return, referral, bird dog fee check requests.
- Assist with month end close.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role preferred but not required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
