Position Overview: As a Quality Control Technician, you will be integral to our production process, ensuring that every part meets our rigorous quality criteria. Your expertise will help us maintain our reputation for delivering exceptional boats that exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of parts, identifying defects such as bubbles, cuts, and mold marks.
- Evaluate parts for necessary repairs and improvements, ensuring they meet our quality standards.
- Document inspection results and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Verify that each boat conforms to build specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to recommend quality enhancements.
- Perform testing and measurement of parts throughout the production process.
Requirements
Preferred Skill Sets:
- Experience with gel coat and/or paint repairs is preferred.
- Background in fiberglass work or auto body repair is a plus.
- Familiarity with mixing gel coats and/or paint with activators is advantageous.
- Proficient with repair tools, including sanders, buffers, and spray equipment.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable with climbing, kneeling, and working in tight spaces.
- Willingness to work in non-climate-controlled environments and adapt to varying conditions.
