Description
We are seeking a Machine Manager/Operator to oversee and operate cutting-edge manufacturing equipment in our boat production facility. This role is critical in ensuring that materials are prepared accurately and efficiently for the boat assembly process. The ideal candidate will manage build books, order materials, schedule production, and lead a team to optimize workflow and maintain quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and oversee Eastman Single Ply, Trident CNC Router, and 5-Axis Water Jet machines to cut and prepare materials for boat manufacturing.
- Ensure accurate execution of build books, including design specifications, material requirements, and workflow planning.
- Coordinate material orders and inventory management to prevent production delays.
- Work closely with engineers and production teams to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
- Conduct routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting to prevent downtime.
- Train and supervise a team of machine operators, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring compliance with company and industry regulations.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in boat manufacturing, marine, or composite materials production environment preferred.
- Proficiency in operating Eastman Single Ply, Trident CNC Router, and 5-Axis Water Jet machines.
- Strong understanding of technical drawings, build books, and CAD-based designs.
- Degree in manufacturing, industrial engineering, textile production, or a related field a plus but not required with applicable experience.
- Experience in leadership or supervisory roles in a production environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
