Sparks Retail is on the move. We are looking for a Detailer to join our team as one of the leading producers of custom retail store fixtures. Our reputation is built on exceptional design, product quality, and customer service.
This position will support our Retail division. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office 2-3 days per week. The ideal candidate will be based out of Philadelphia, PA.

This position will support our Retail division. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office 2-3 days per week. The ideal candidate will be based out of Philadelphia, PA.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Use Solidworks to create 3D models and construction drawings showing section details, plans, and elevations for shop manufacturing. Create installation/assembly drawings using exploded views to aid on-site installation teams.
- Attend kickoff meetings with Project Managers, Account Teams, and designers to discuss the best course of action to meet our clients’ needs. Review construction methods and details with the team before beginning the detailing process. Propose value engineering options as required by the client’s needs.
- Work closely with Project Managers from kickoff through production and installation to ensure that drawings are accurate and design improvements are implemented in a timely manner. Be the main point of contact throughout the life of the project.
- Ability to work independently to solve typical engineering and fixture design issues associated with fixture construction, joinery, hardware components, part interfaces, and tolerances. Includes the ability to specify components and develop cut sheets.
- Sparks is a fast-paced work environment. The ideal candidate must be organized and have strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. They should be able to use time effectively, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work additional hours when necessary to meet critical deadlines.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 3-5 years experience in the engineering of store fixtures, cabinetry, and casework
- Experience in the manufacturing and finish production of acrylic, wood, metals, and any other special materials applied to design
- Experience with detailing/dimensioning construction drawings
- Solidworks and AutoCAD experience preferred
- Proficient in Google Drive and Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a team player
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
