Summary
The Scheduling Manager is responsible for the staffing and scheduling of necessary and appropriate staff to events while managing labor coordination process to ensure appropriate labor requirements and arrangements are made for all assigned events and established protocols are communicated and followed.
This Position Will Support Our Audio Visual And Event Technology Team. It Is Eligible To Work a Hybrid Schedule, Generally Requiring Work In-office And/or Show-site 2-3 Days Per Week. The Ideal Candidate Will Be Located In Dallas, TX; However, We Are Also Open To Candidates Based Out Of

- Austin, TX
- Responsible for staffing all positions for events including local labor, union labor, or vendor labor
- Acts as labor subject matter expert for assigned cities or regions
- Advises and participates in the creation of labor policies for assigned cities or regions
- Recommends and participates in developing best-practices procedures and overseeing these are followed
- Ensures efficient utilization of show site labor in a cost-effective manner while adhering to union work rules and vendor agreements
- Ensures proper labor documentation requirements are communicated and maintained on show site
- Ensures qualified show personnel are assigned
- Assists with event labor budgeting as requested
- Communicates with Sales and Operations to clarify labor requirements and acts as liaison between Sales and Operations on labor specifications
- Ensures city profiles are current and correct with current vendor and union labor rates and jurisdictions
- Assists management in labor relations and contract administration
- Recruits and qualifies new AV technicians
- Reviews union and vendor contracts relevant to assigned cities or regions
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant work experience required
- Working knowledge of relevant labor laws preferred
- Minimum 3 years of show operations experience preferred
- Labor or staffing coordination experience preferred
- Minimum two years of supervisory experience preferred
- Thorough understanding of payroll systems and methods of payment to employees
- Working Knowledge of Audio, Video, Lighitng, Rigging and Scenic labor Requirements
- Ability to collaborate with others
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly detail oriented and organized
- Must be a self-starter and work in a flexible, fast-paced work environment
