Job Overview
An exciting opportunity in the Newcastle upon Tyne NHS Foundation on behalf of the North East and North Cumbria (NENC) Imaging Academy to recruit an academy business and educational manager to oversee the development, delivery and quality assurance of the NENC imaging Academy while contribute to the day-to-day operational management of the NENC imaging academy and lead on the academy annual bid submission process working collaboratively with the NENC Imaging Academy staff, NENC Imaging Network and NENC 8 Trusts.
This role is advertised as both fixed term and secondment opportunity for 12 months which requires the written approval of the applicant’s current line manager if applied on secondment basis.

Main duties of the job
- Responsible for the development and implementation of the process and structure of the NENC Imaging Academy and then maintain the delivery and continued support for the academy educational programme.
- Responsible for the collection and analysis of quality assurance data and action on that.
- Update against key operational targets and annual report for the academy.
- Responsible and accountable for line management of the NENC Imaging Academy staff.
- Work collaboratively with the NENC Imaging Network and NENC regional trust to produce annual academy funding bids documents for the NENC region.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
- To assist the NENC Imaging Academy lead with the management of all aspects of the NENC Imaging Academy and take the lead in developing a programme of learning for NENC Imaging Academy multi-professional workforce regional users and will be responsible for overseeing the development, delivery and quality assurance of NENC Imaging Academy led and supported training across the North East and North Cumbria.
- Take the lead in ensuring the delivery of agreed performance targets within NENC Imaging Academy.
- Deputise for NENC Imaging Academy Clinical Lead and Academy Team members when required.
- Contribute to the day-to-day operational management of the NENC Imaging Academy.

- Degree level education or on established pathway supplemented by post graduate diploma level specialist training, management/leadership qualification or equivalent level of experience.
