Job Overview
Here at the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated Education Centre Administrator to work within the Support Services of the Education & Workforce Development function which is part of the People directorate.
This post holder will primarily be responsible for providing clerical and administrative support to the Education and Workforce Development Facility and assist with the general running of the facilities, including bookings, updating records following completion of education and training programmes. Applicants should have good interpersonal skills and will need to demonstrate a commitment to working within this area, be positive, flexible and able to promote the service.

Plan, manage and deliver high quality administrative support to the Education & Workforce Development function.
To maintain records of education and training across the Trust ensuring confidentiality at all times.
To support the Workforce Development Officers in the day-to-day running of the Education Centres at the Freeman Hospital, Royal Victoria Infirmary Hospital, and Eldon Court.
Participate as a member of the Trust Education and Workforce Development team to enable delivery of high quality and innovative workforce planning, education and training programmes, which enhance the patient and customer experience.

- The post holder will primarily be responsible for reception and providing clerical and administrative support to the Education and Workforce Development facilities and assist with the general running of the facilities, including bookings, updating records following completion of education and training programmes.
- Good organisational skills and telephone manner are a mandatory requirement and knowledge of the hospital environment would be desirable but not essential.
- First point of contact for visitors to the Education Centre reception, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the reception.
- Administer the booking, recording and updating of staff training records.
- Manage room bookings in our busy facilities.
- Assist visitors and staff with their queries.
- Provide clerical and administrative support to colleagues and the Senior Workforce Development Officer in data entry and the creation of courses, offerings and classes on our current Training Management System.
