Immediate 1 month contract opportunity for an Associate Apparel Designer. Onsite role in NYC office. 40 hours/week ($25/hour) - starts Jan 15th.
Must have experience with production worksheets and CADs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Market research and trend analysis to support senior designers.
- Attending design meetings, proto reviews, and line reviews.
- Preparing product presentations and market week materials.
- Managing production packages, including color and trim specifications.
- Project managing production timelines and sending artwork and color standards.
- Verifying sample requests, development packages, and production packages for accuracy.
- Corresponding with overseas factories regarding production.
- Overseeing assistant designer work and delegating tasks based on priority.
- Collaborating with senior designers on color and print choices.
- Assisting with trim and fabric library management, color palettes, and flat sketching.
- Supporting designers with strike-offs and lab dips.
Must submit apparel design portfolio to be considered.
