Becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant allows you to directly make a meaningful difference in people's lives by providing essential daily care and emotional support. What you will do:
Provide assistance to residents with their activities of daily living.
Perform routine duties and non-routine duties as directed by nursing staff.
Duties may include but not limited to assisting patients with bathing and dressing needs, personal hygeine, transfers into and out of bed, repositioning, toileting needs, answering call lights, insuring a clean environment.
Document concise and factual information on the appropriate forms.
Perform or assist residents in performing specific medical care activities in accordance with established policy and procedure to contribute to the patient's plan of care.
Provide feedback to nursing staff immediately on status or changes in patient conditions, pain management, and other important concerns.
Participate in providing emotional, educational and spiritual support for families.
Comply with all aspects of resident rights including confidentiality and privacy.
Report all allegations of resident abuse or misappropriation of resident property.
Understanding and following established policy and procedures related to fire, tornado, evacuation, disaster plan, universal precautions, infection control procedures, hazardous and chemical communication program.
Mentor new employees and assists with their orientation.
Lead, by example, following Freeman Regional Health Services CARE standards.
Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
Must be 16 years or older
Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) - Licensing Board certification or
Certified Nursing Assistant - Licensing Board Active certification in the state of practice within 60 days
