Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. As a Service Advisor at Freeman's Auto & Tire, you'll be the primary point of contact between our customers and our service technicians. The ideal candidate will be skilled at selling services and repairs while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and assist them in identifying their automotive repair and service needs
- Provide accurate repair and service estimates to customers
- Present and recommend services, repairs, and maintenance in a clear and professional manner
- Manage customer expectations and provide timely updates on repair progress
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by ensuring all concerns are addressed in a professional and courteous manner
- Communicate effectively with the service technicians to ensure proper diagnosis and timely completion of services
- Process customer payments and maintain accurate service records
- Keep a clean and organized workspace, both in the front office and on the shop floor
- Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar automotive customer service role
- Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell services while maintaining customer trust
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- In-depth knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive, can-do attitude and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
Preferred Qualifications:
- ASE certification or other automotive certifications a plus
- Experience with shop management software (e.g., Mitchell, ShopWare, etc.)
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
