Irrigation Technician

We are seeking a reliable and versatile Irrigation Technician to join our team! This position involves maintaining and troubleshooting irrigation systems at both residential and commercial properties, as well as performing landscaping duties during non-irrigation hours. As part of a small, close-knit team, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to both irrigation and landscaping services.

Responsibilities:

Irrigation Duties:

• Open and close sprinkler systems at residential and commercial properties as per seasonal requirements.
• Perform regular inspections of irrigation systems to identify issues or areas of concern.
• Troubleshoot and repair faulty sprinkler systems, including valves, controllers, and pipes.
• Diagnose irrigation system malfunctions and perform necessary repairs in a timely manner.
• Ensure the proper functioning of sprinkler heads, wiring, and electrical components.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed and any parts used.
• Landscaping Duties (when irrigation work is not scheduled):
• Perform general landscaping tasks including mowing, trimming, edging, and weeding.
• Plant, prune, and maintain shrubs, flowers, and trees.
• Assist in the installation of new landscaping features such as mulch, sod, and hardscapes.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure customer properties are well-kept.
• Provide excellent customer service, ensuring satisfaction with both irrigation and landscaping services.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with irrigation systems is REQUIRED.
• Experience in general landscaping, including plant care, lawn maintenance, and basic landscaping techniques.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, and mechanical repairs.
• Ability to diagnose and repair sprinkler system malfunctions.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Good communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
• Valid driver's license (chauffeur preferred) and clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, such as crawl spaces or under decks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
