What You’ll Do
Under direct supervision, trains to apply the appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes to medical records for data retrieval, analysis, and claims processing.
Requirements
- If homebound, must reside in one of the following states: Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri or Oklahoma.
- Minimum one to three years' experience with coding, billing and reimbursement activities or currently enrolled an accredited AHIMA program or Freeman approved coding educational program. Examples include but are not limited to (HIM) Health Information Management programs such as RHIA, RHIT or AHIMA online coding education resulting in successful CCS certification.
