What You'll Do
Radiation Therapy Dosimetrist will design patient treatment plans involving calculations of dose distributions for radiation oncology and provide technical supervision for the simulation, localization and treatment of patients. The qualified candidate will also assist the physicist and physician in calculations/procedures for intracavitary and interstitial implants, as well as HDR planning and quality assurance.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in radiological physics or satisfactory completion of an approved radiation therapy technology training program, supplemented by specialized training in radiological physics or dosimetry or an equivalent amount of education and experience is necessary.
Certification by the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board (MDCB)
