Summary
It is the responsibility of the Lead Operations to supervise and coordinate activities of production workers, while performing the same subordinate duties. Professionally interacts with customers, team members, and third-party vendor / partner representatives to provide the highest level of service excellence.
This position will support our Event & Exhibit Services team. The position follows an in-person schedule working full-time in-office and / or show-site based out of Orlando, FL.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties
Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules
Produce production schedules, labor budgets and estimates worker hours requirements for completion of job assignments
Perform duties while supervising the following duties : loading and unloading equipment, marking floor, setting up service area, meeting rooms, and offices, hanging drape and booth signs, setting up boneyard, etc.
Plan and produce Modular Build Systems, Total Flex Systems, and Truss Structures in accordance with work orders received from Account Executives, the Exhibitor Sales Department and the Exhibitor Services Department while keeping job costs at the lowest possible level and maintaining quality, safety, and customers service standards
Review orders and understand which orders are special orders and how to accomplish the final results
Supervise and dispatch all work performed
Perform activities of workers supervised
Ensure that all equipment is returned to warehouse and broken or damaged equipment is tagged for repair
Maintain consistently acceptable job cost
Plans daily production schedule
Assigns standby labor as necessary
Maintains time and production records
Estimate, requisition, and inspect materials
Establish and maintain an orderly, efficient, and secure boneyard
Maintain communication with the Account Executive and the Service Desk, and advises of any problems that may affect their operation
Perform other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required
3 years of trade show, warehouse operations and / or related experience is required
Understanding with : Office software applications including but not limited to email, Microsoft Word, Excel, TSS and Concierge Elite
Must have ability to complete online reports, printing, posting, running inquiries and data entry
Produce trade shows on the 1000 – 1500 booth level
Travel Requirements
Travel 25% to 50%
