What You’ll Do
- The Learning Center Specialist is responsible for utilizing a basic working knowledge of the Learning center billing system, all office functions and is responsible for facilitating communication and completing work assignments pertaining to general behaviors listed below.
- Responsible for following all DHS regulations, Freeman Learning Center policies and procedures.
- Maintains a safe environment for children and staff.
- Communicates respectfully and appropriately with children based on age and development stage.
- Communicates effectively with parent/legal guardian about his/her child. Attends and obtains required training and certifications appropriate for position.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must attend Sleep Safe Training within 30 days of hire and every 3 years after.
- Must be able to successfully pass child protective services and criminal background check upon hire and every 5 years.
- Must register with and successfully pass the Family Care Safety Registry upon hire. For more information and to register please visit https://health.mo.gov/safety/fcsr/
- Obtain 12 clock hours of child-care related training during each calendar year; those hired after the first of the year are required to obtain 1 clock hour per month of employment.
- Pediatric First Aid CPR- For Learning Center Only within 90 days.
