Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Operations Management: Oversee accounting operations, ensuring accuracy
in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial
statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
- Compliance and Controls: Develop and enforce financial policies, procedures, and
internal controls to maintain compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Audit Coordination: Manage the annual audit process, working closely with external
auditors to ensure timely and successful completion.
- Collaboration with Teams: Partner with the FP&A team to support budgeting,
forecasting, and financial analysis, and ensure bookkeeping activities are accurately
executed.
- Treasury and Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow, banking
relationships, and risk mitigation processes.
- System Improvements: Recommend and implement financial systems and tools to
enhance efficiency, reporting, and decision-making.
- Leadership and Training: Provide mentorship and guidance to finance team members
to foster growth and ensure excellence in financial operations.
- Strategic Support: Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to the Head of
Finance and executive leadership based on financial performance trends.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA, CFA, or MBA
preferred).
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar leadership role, preferably
within the healthcare or startup sector.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Strong proficiency with financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate financial insights to
diverse stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Demonstrated experience in managing audits and improving financial processes.
