What are the responsibilities and job description for the Baker position at Freeport Bakery?
Overview
We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team. 2 years previous experience in a commercial kitchen required.
Schedule: Monday through Friday / 5:00 pm - 1:30 am
Duties
- Prepare a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies, fillings and frostings.
- Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency and quality in all products.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and baking areas.
- Manage inventory of baking supplies and ingredients, ensuring freshness and availability.
- Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
- Must be able to stay on your feet for the entire shift.
- Must be available weekends and holidays.
Experience
- At least 2 years baking experience in a commercial kitchen.
- Production capabilities.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Experience with use of ovens, sheeter, rounder and scales.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.50 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
