What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Counter/Customer Service position at Freeport Bakery?
Overview
We are looking for bright, cheerful folks to work with our customers and help them at our award winning bakery. Applicants with previous experience in food related customer service will be looked at first. Must be able to engage with customers in person and over the phone.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and help them with their selections/orders with professionalism.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area to ensure a welcoming environment.
- Keep the front counter area stocked.
- Stand on your feet for your entire shift.
- Able to lift/carry up to 40 lbs.
- Able to climb ladders.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service, particularly the food industry, is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to work Saturdays.
- Ability to work holidays.

Pay: $16.50 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
