Job Summary
The Sr Turnaround Manager role will be responsible for the overall management and safe execution of Turnarounds, Outages and Events at Freeport LNG. This role will manage the optimization of the Work Process and directly manage the resource team including direct employees and contractors. This role will be responsible for creating and managing budget for all planned outage costs. Additionally, they will organize and conduct strategic outage planning meetings and be responsible for reporting and communication to the FLNG Leadership Team.
Location/Travel Information
This position will be based at the Terminal Facility, LQF or PTF, with travel to off-site locations as required. This position requires the incumbent to hold a valid, unexpired driver license at all times in order to perform the essential functions of the job.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring all work is executed in compliance with client and company quality control and company safety standards.
- Uphold and communicate high standards of integrity and respect.
- Manage turnaround safety program.
- Accountable for turnaround budget control and performance.
- Drive schedule development and execution to ensure the turnaround meets all business objectives.
- Responsible for establishing performance metrics and objectives to meet company and client expectations around safety, quality, schedule, and cost control.
- Responsible for providing leadership, coaching and technical expertise to support turnaround work.
- Responsible for providing a work environment that is consistent with company policies regarding discrimination, violence, or harassment.
- Provide oversight on budget and schedule, including turnaround financial close out process.
- Ensure a safe plant turnover to Operations while providing a leak free startup.
- Develop overall turnaround strategy with both planning and execution milestones.
- Organize and lead meetings with stakeholders. Participate in meetings with turnaround leadership team.
- Assist in development of bid packages and contractor selections.
- Oversee entire turnaround including pre-outage planning and post-outage site restoration.
- Participate in the development of estimates, funding documents, schedule, and ongoing cost forecasts.
- Manage change order process and communicate impact to Management.
- Support continuous improvement by providing feedback on turnaround process and tools.
- Support Management of Change process, recognizing plant changes and following through on all documentation and work processes in a timely manner.
- Lead effort in development of Turnaround Best Practice Policies and Procedures.
- Provide leadership and support of turnaround team development, training, and career advancement opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience
Minimum Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 10 years of supervisory experience in turnaround execution, project management, field construction management, or related turnaround activity.
- Must be familiar with basics principles of process piping, pressure vessels, heat exchange equipment, rotating equipment, basic electrical components, and process control devices.
- Organizational credibility - able to influence business area, technical engineering and operation managers in decision making process.
- Refinery or petrochemical operations, maintenance, and capital projects experience.
Preferred:
Technical or Business degree preferred (Associate level)

Support the policies, efforts, and programs of Freeport LNG Health, Safety and Environmental Management System. Actively participate in the HSE Management System Policies. Ensure that HSE concerns are given priority in all activities completed within their area of responsibility. Implement routine inspections to ensure safe operating conditions.

Working Conditions:
This position operates in an office environment. However, while performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to operate within an industrial plant environment.
- Routinely uses standard office and field communications equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers w/scanner and fax, and radios.
- Exposure to indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
- Not necessarily protected from weather and temperature changes. Possible exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid or windy weather conditions.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts and electrical circuits, being exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
- Exposure to constant, or intermittent sounds of a pitch level sufficient to cause marked distraction.
