Job Overview
- This role is open at our Henderson mine and mill sites, both located near Denver, Colorado. The Henderson mine is an underground molybdenum mining operation with a large block-cave complex feeding a concentrator.
- The mill is located 15 miles west of the mine and surrounded by US Forest Service land of the Arapaho National Forest.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic, maintenance and repair of heavy equipment such as Haul Trucks, Water Trucks, Rubber Tire and Track Dozers, Front-end Loaders, and Motor Graders.
- Remove, repair and install transmissions, engines, breaks, differentials, pumps, motors, torque convertors, final drives and other heavy equipment systems or components.
- Perform mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance on machine systems such as hydraulic, power train and engines.
- Prioritize and make decisions regarding equipment repair as needed.
- Maintain work orders and perform work area inspections.
- Operate mobile equipment such as Overhead cranes, forklifts, and boom trucks.
- Perform welding such as Carbon arc, Plasma, Mig, Tig, and Stick.
- Fill-in Supervisor duties as required.
- Train and mentor other employees.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements
- Two (2) years' experience in mechanical/maintenance crafts (including welder, boilermaker, machinist or facility maintenance/construction).
- Must have completed academic and practical competencies required and have experience demonstrating the required mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures in English.
- Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards.
- Ability to prioritize repairs and possess excellent decision-making skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot machine systems.
- Ability to work and effectively communicate with others.
- Ability to read and use blueprints.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
What We Offer
The estimated pay range for this role is currently $28.50- $38.50 hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions.
This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
