About the Job
As a Tailings Dam Operator I at Climax Molybdenum, you will be responsible for operating material handling systems in the production process. You will work under minimal supervision in environments where safe production is the primary objective. Your tasks may include performing area housekeeping, operating processing equipment per operating guidelines, and monitoring equipment via computer.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must have six (6) months of experience in the trade, with experience working with material handling equipment. You must also demonstrate the ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English. Additionally, you will need to pass all required training and/or testing, and work a non-standard schedule as needed. Freeport-McMoRan promotes a drug/alcohol-free work environment through mandatory pre-employment drug testing and ongoing random drug testing, as allowed by state laws.
