Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Metallurgist II to assist in Metallurgical study, development, testing, and analyses of designs, processes, or procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Metallurgy, Chemistry, or a related Engineering discipline, with three years of experience in Metallurgy or a related scientific field. Alternatively, a Master's degree in Metallurgy, Chemistry, or a related Engineering discipline, with two years of related experience in Metallurgy or a related scientific field, may be considered. Key responsibilities include reporting on Metallurgical or process issues, making recommendations to the Chief Metallurgist, reviewing and recommending new or enhanced Metallurgical testing equipment or protocols, contributing to the improvement of Metallurgical processes, evaluating and administering contracts with vendors, and maintaining current knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local regulations.
