Job Overview
- This position is available at our Henderson mine and mill sites, both located near Denver, Colorado. The Henderson mine is an underground molybdenum mining operation with a large block-cave complex feeding a concentrator.
- The mill is situated 15 miles west of the mine and surrounded by US Forest Service land within the Arapaho National Forest.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose issues, perform routine maintenance, and execute repairs on heavy equipment such as Haul Trucks, Water Trucks, Rubber Tire and Track Dozers, Front-end Loaders, and Motor Graders.
- Remove, repair, and reinstall transmissions, engines, brakes, differentials, pumps, motors, torque converters, final drives, and other heavy equipment systems or components.
- Implement preventative maintenance strategies for machine systems like hydraulic, power train, and engines, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Address equipment repair needs promptly, utilizing effective problem-solving skills.
- Manage work orders and conduct regular work area inspections to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Operate mobile equipment such as Overhead cranes, forklifts, and boom trucks, adhering to established safety protocols.
- Pursue advanced welding techniques, including Carbon arc, Plasma, Mig, Tig, and Stick, to fabricate and repair equipment parts.
- Supervise and guide team members as required, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
- Deliver training sessions and provide one-on-one mentorship to employees, enhancing their knowledge and skills.
- Undertake additional tasks as necessary to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
