Where You Will Work
Freeport-McMoRan is a leading international metals company with global headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona. Several hundred employees support our operations in accounting and finance, human resources, health and safety, information technology, planning, engineering, and more. Our hybrid internship program allows interns to work virtually as well as come together in person regularly at our Collaboration Hub in Phoenix and / or our site locations. Interns participating in our hybrid internship program will be expected to live within a reasonable commuting distance – 50 miles one-way – of the company’s corporate offices to ensure availability when meeting attendance / collaboration is needed. Interns living more than 50 miles away would be required to relocate and would be eligible for travel and housing assistance.
Description
Under close supervision, works alongside the Communications team in the development and creation of content for the company’s social media platforms. This work includes, but is not limited to :
- Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and competitive insights.
- Support the creation of marketing materials as needed.
- Analyze marketing data and generate reports to measure campaign effectiveness.
- Plan, create, and implement the company’s social media strategies across various platforms.
- Edit and write social content that aligns with the company’s priorities and values.
- Create visual graphics to support the company’s social media messaging.
- Use data to identify insights and social media trends.
- Assist in the creation and scheduling of social media content across platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube).
- Develop regular reports demonstrating the effectiveness of the company’s social media program.
- Collaborate with various departments to identify social media content.
- Monitor and analyze competitor social media channels.
- Monitor and report daily on owned channel activity.
- Perform other duties as required.

Compensation :
The estimated pay range for this role is currently $20.00 - $24.50 / hour. Individual pay rates will be based on level of education and relevant experience.
