Chino is an open-pit copper mining complex located 15 miles from the historic mining community of Silver City in southwestern New Mexico. The historic Chino mine was among the world's first low-grade, open-pit copper mines. Today, the operation consists of a 36,000-metric-ton-per-day concentrator that produces copper and a 150-million-pound-per-year solvent extraction / electrowinning plant that produces copper cathode from solution generated by run-of-mine leaching.

Description
Skilled worker in the electrical / instrumentation field whose duties include, but are not limited to the removal, repair and installation of electrical components and basic to intermediate troubleshooting.
- Perform safe completion of routine and non-routine repairs and construction
- Perform preventive maintenance, installation and repair of industrial electrical and / or instrumentation equipment (i.e. substations, power distribution systems, switchgear motors, motor controls, systems and components, process controls, instrumentation and pneumatic equipment)
- Assist with troubleshooting of industrial electrical and / or instrumentation equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Completion of an approved certified electronics, electrical and / or instrumentation program or minimum of two (2) years of experience or a combination of education and experience in industrial electrical and / or instrumentation repair and maintenanceBasic experience in the maintenance and repair of electrical circuits and connected equipmentValid state drivers licenseMust have minimum personal tools as described by the department tool list (or be able to obtain them within 90 days of hire date)Able to perform the essential functions of the job at the time of the job offer with or without reasonable accommodationsMust have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required aptitude. The estimated pay range for this role is currently $27.00 - $37.00 / hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors.
