Where You Will Work
Our global headquarters is in Phoenix, Arizona. Several hundred employees support global operations in finance, human resources, information technology, planning and more from the main office, satellite offices or online. As a Hybrid employee, you’ll engage in virtual collaboration as well as attend in-person meetings at our Collaboration Hub in Phoenix or at one of our site locations. The Collaboration Hub provides an open, flexible workspace for individuals and teams to come together for various business needs. Amenities at the Hub include a working café, phone booths and meeting rooms with technology tools for virtual and in-person collaboration. Description
Under general supervision, provides support for programs related to value chain sustainability frameworks globally. Tasks include project management, research, analysis, and development and execution of program materials to help meet corporate commitments while strengthening the program over time.
- Assist sites with the implementation of and continuing conformance to the responsible sourcing related ICMM, Copper Mark, and LPRM requirements. This includes completion of significant supplier desk reviews, local procurement reporting, suggested evidence and other documents, as needed to support audits and compliance deadlines.
- Lead the Ariba risk monitoring process with daily reviews of supplier alerts, conducting additional research, and documenting results., Coordinate and facilitate meetings to discuss results and recommended next steps.
- Assist with the due diligence process for new and existing business partners utilizing existing management systems and process to comply with organizational commitments and participate in coordinating the completion of associated third-party reviews of suppliers when required.
- Research and provide recommendations for suppliers as needed, based on due diligence profiles to align with corporate programs/directives and the Business Partner Code of Conduct. Coordinate with relationship owners within GSC to obtain relevant information, communicate recommendations, and ensure action items are completed timely.
- Help build capacity with suppliers, GSC personnel, and internal customers by facilitating collaborations, fulfillment of action plans, and assisting with audits. Deliver training and one-on-one support, answer questions on the company’s sustainability practices, and coordinate the completion of questionnaires, close-out of action items, etc.
- Support the external reporting of value chain sustainability issues in close collaboration with the supply chain RS team. This includes peer reviews of reporting data, collecting, consolidating, analyzing, and reporting relevant data and metrics for the GSC RS program.
- Assist with development and execution of program materials (e.g., relevant SOPs, SharePoint site, significant supplier engagement requests, local supplier lists, etc.) to help meet corporate commitments while strengthening the program over time.
- Gathering benchmarking data on peers, competitors and other industries and monitoring external stakeholders and frameworks (e.g., OECD, Copper Mark, GRI, etc.) to identify areas of improvement and propose recommendations for program changes and development over time.
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED with at least four (4) years of experience working in Supply Chain, Sustainability or a related area; OR
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Sustainability or related field (i.e. Accounting, International Development, Business, or related) and with at least one summer internship experience working in Supply Chain, Sustainability or related area
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with all levels of staff and management
- Ability to work independently
- Highly flexible and adaptable to change
- Solid creativity, strategic thinking, and analytical problem solving
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Ability to navigate, edit, synthesize, update, and organize large datasets.
- Detail oriented
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of concepts related to sustainable procurement or supply chain sustainability.
- Knowledge of relevant Sustainability topics (i.e. OECD, UN SDGs, UN Global Compact, Human Rights, etc.)
- Knowledge of supply chain policies and procedures, management strategies and concepts
- Knowledge of audit and investigation procedures
- Prior use of SAP, Ariba SLP and Ariba Supplier Risk Management system
- Business skills/acumen relevant to the mining sector
- Bilingual in English/Spanish highly preferred
Criteria/Conditions:
- Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.

What We Offer You
The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $62,000-$85,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors.
