Job Summary
The delivery system practiced at Freeport Memorial Hospital employs the concepts of team nursing incorporating the PRIDE Standards as set forth by the Freeport Health Network. Coordination of activities to support patient care and unit operations, while under the direction of licensed professionals.
Job Responsibilities
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Monitoring orders.
- Assists with management of patient flow to diagnostics.
- Manages downtime procedures related to orders and records.
- Managing the Medical Records.
- Manages physical environment related to safety, and troubleshooting telecommunication equipment.
- Accountable for ordering and restocking supplies, as assigned.
- Serves as communication conduit interdepartmentally, intradepartmental, and outside FHN for verbal and written communications. As well as, contacts physicians.
- Responds to customer service requests/concerns and sends to appropriate person.
- Unit specific additional responsibilities: Registration, telemetry monitoring, statistics, data collection, assists with transfers, admissions, and discharges.
- If an individual possesses certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant, duties and responsibilities of a Certified Nursing Assistant may be assigned as needed.
- Displays competency for the Care Support role as evidenced in the annual performance appraisal following the FHN PRIDE Standards.
Requirements
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and zero to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Experience: CNA preferred. Minimum of 1 year CNA or clinical experience.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Certification recommended.
