Job Summary
This position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus with a 3 year commitment to FHN for a Licensed Practical Nurse not currently employed with FHN.
- The delivery system practiced at FHN Memorial Hospital employs the concepts of differentiated nursing incorporating the PRIDE Standards as set forth by FHN.
- Provides direct nursing care to identified patient population.
- Delivers direct patient care to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Demonstrates competencies in accordance with specific performance standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Demonstrates clinical competency in providing age specific care to patients in designated areas of practice.
- Performs therapeutic measures and assists with ADL’s.
- Assures accurate and timely medication administration.
- Assists with completion of shift assessments.
- Evaluates, reports and documents patient outcomes.
- Assists with patient education and psychosocial needs.
- Assists with discharge instructions.
- Delegates appropriate tasks to unlicensed staff Responds to customer requests/concerns.
- Performs phlebotomy on all age groups.
- Displays competency for the Licensed Practical Nurse role as evidenced in the annual performance appraisal following the FHN PRIDE Standards.
- Monitors and evaluates the work of unlicensed staff.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
Requirements
Education: Graduate from an accredited LPN program
Required Experience: 0 - 6 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current licensure as an RN/LPN in Illinois; CPR certification; Pharmacology (will be provided if not present at hire).

- Early Childhood: 1 year and <5 years
- Late Childhood: 5 years and <13 years
- Adolescent: 13 to <17 years
