Job Summary
Supervise staff in the daily operations of the Imaging department. Addresses daily staffing needs, adjustments to patient schedule and schedule for equipment service. Facilitate high level of customer satisfaction by addressing concerns immediately. Address behavioral concerns with Imaging department staff if observed. Continue to perform patient care in the modalities for which the technologist is competent.
Job Responsibilities
- Continue to provide patient care in areas of competency.
- Involved with peer review or performance evaluation on all Imaging staff members.
- Perform performance improvements discussions for immediate issues.
- Supervisor supply ordering for the department.
- Supervise allocation of work and daily tasks.
- Manage schedules for Preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Manage staff schedules.
- Participates in the interview process for new staff members.
- Recommend items for budget process.
- Time and attendance verifications.
- Provide input on department policies.
- Participate in FHN teams.
- PACS Supervisor
- Participates in selection of equipment.
- Manage process change affecting imaging rounds in all modalities routinely rounds on staff monthly.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education: Associate's Degree required, Bachelors Degree with a Major in Radiologic Technology or related imaging field preferred.
Required Experience: Must be a technologist and be competent in at least 2 modalities. 5-8 years prior field-related and other job-related experience would be needed or especially helpful to successfully perform the duties of this position. Must be highly competent with the PACS system, be able to assist the radiologist with their work stations as needed.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid ARRT and/or IEMA certification required. BLS certification required.
