What are the responsibilities and job description for the Remediation/Compliance Project Manager position at Freese and Nichols Inc?
Freese and Nichols, Inc. is looking for an experienced professional engineer / professional geoscientist / environmental science project manager to join our dynamic and growing team in our Fort Worth or Dallas, Texas offices. The selected candidate will serve as a Project Manager on environmental projects as well as work closely with professionals in engineering, water quality, hydrology, stormwater planning, compliance monitoring, and geosciences to successfully deliver projects to FNI clients in our North Texas and Central Plains Division.
Candidates will have the opportunity to work on projects for federal, state, and local government clients as well as private sector clients throughout Texas, Oklahoma, and along the U.S. Gulf Coast.
The successful candidate will be someone who works well in a team environment, is responsive, and has strong communication and technical writing skills with expertise in Remediation / Compliance Services, specifically management of environmental site assessments, subsurface investigations, site closures through the TCEQ Texas Risk Reduction Program (TRRP) and / or Voluntary Cleanup Program (VCP) and risk-based environmental cleanups.
The preferred candidate should have direct experience in one or more of the following areas :
- Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments in compliance with ASTM International Standards and EPA All Appropriate Inquiry Rule and the EPA Brownfields Program.
- Site remediation and closure through TCEQ regulations pertaining to the Texas Risk Reduction Program (TRRP) and / or Voluntary Cleanup Program (VCP), including field methods for oversight of installation of monitoring wells, soil, and groundwater assessment as well as general environmental assessment procedures.
- Petroleum Storage Tank (PST) Division processes as well as field methods for tank removals and oversight of installation of soil borings / monitoring wells.
- Site inspections and water quality sampling including the identification of necessary stormwater best management practices (BMPs) and corrective actions.
- Surface Water Quality standards, Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs) and other key water quality initiatives and collecting and analyzing water quality / sediment / biological monitoring data.
- Environmental compliance aspects of multimedia auditing, permitting and compliance actions.
