What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technology Solutions Leader position at Freese and Nichols Inc?
Major duties include :
- Manage the Technology Solutions team focused on client-side services, responsible for hiring, goal-setting, performance management, workload planning, and other related team management duties
- Lead technology business strategy including setting vision, communicating with clients, developing work, and supporting the hiring of production staff to execute projects
- Coordinate with senior personnel to develop technology strategic plans and operational objectives for the organization
- Serve as project manager or senior advisor on large technology projects
- Lead / advise technology systems implementations and integrations for clients
- Lead technology services business development efforts by networking in the technology industry including going to industry conferences and events
- Develop presentations, technical training materials, and curriculum to promote technology services and the growth of technology staff
- Attend client meetings, clearly communicate technical topics, and work with clients to understand their needs and promote technology services
- Develop client relationships and new business with an emphasis on technology and data management
- Lead technology marketing efforts and business development activities including marketing visits, proposals, shortlists presentations, and scope and fee development
- Participate in professional organizations including giving presentations and serving in leadership roles where appropriate
- Advise clients on improved technology business processes and maximization of operational benefits
- Advise on clients' data management and technology systems administration
- Develop technical methodologies and approaches for projects
- Advise senior technology staff and provide mentorship to technology staff company-wide
- Maintain advanced comprehensive knowledge of GIS and expertise in configuring complex geospatial applications
- Lead the development of solutions to complex technical problems using technology, especially geospatial data, tools, and processes
- Devise project solutions and new approaches to complex problems
- Other duties as assigned
