What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry Level Transportation CAD Technician position at Freese and Nichols?
Freese and Nichols is searching for an experienced Transportation CAD Technician in our San Antonio office. This dynamic position will provide design assistance to transportation engineers to produce 3D CAD models of engineering designs and will generate plan sets for construction projects. The job requirements/responsibilities include:
Job responsibilities include:
- Learns and refers to FNI BIM/CAD Standards and follows instructions per direction from PM, Designers, and Lead BIM/CAD Staff.
- Prepares simple engineering and construction drawings.
- Interprets sketches and markups to incorporate into sheets.
- Applies revisions from markups and backchecks work.
- Places and manages files according to BIM/CAD Standards and prepares final drawings.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of BIM/CAD software
- Proven ability to learn, adapt, and problem solve to produce accurate and quality deliverables
Preferred:
- Associate Degree in CAD
- Microstation experience with preference for in-depth knowledge of Open Roads Designer, Geopak, and/or InRoads
