Job Location: St. Clair Shores
Salary: $22-$24/hr
Days: Monday Thru Friday w/ occasional Saturdays (2 days remote)
Hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
Benefits:

Position Purpose:
The primary purpose of the Lending Development Specialist is to assist FreeStar Financial Credit Union in fulfilling our mission to positively impact the lives of our members, team members, and community through meaningful connections and progressive financial solutions.
Another essential function of this position is to facilitate all consumer lending training. This includes developing outlines, creating a training structure, facilitating training, and acting as a mentor for new team members.
What You'll Do In This Role:
Responsible for training all Consumer Lending and Branch Origination positions within the organization.
Develop a consumer lending training program that will include creating training outlines, training schedules, policy review, hands on training, and any other resources needed to assist new team members in learning consumer lending tasks.
Act as a sales coach and champion for lending products and services.
Responsible for tracking and ensuring department procedures are up to date and revising them as needed.
Translate job requirements into staff trainings that will develop and prepare team members for the next step of their career path
Develop or oversee the production of training materials, aids, handouts and manuals
Deliver training presentations through virtually and in-person.
Back up loan originator for incoming loan applications via phone, internet, or face-to-face in Branch.
Back up loan servicer for closing loans, loan maintenance, visa maintenance and other servicing duties within the department
Provide suggestions on new and innovative ideas to improve processes and garner a positive working environment.
What You'll Bring To FreeStar Financial:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of two to three years of similar or related experience in lending.
A previous background or experience in training is preferred.
Must have knowledge of various federal regulations and the responsibilities relating to each act of the following:
Right to Financial Privacy Act
Regulation E (EFTS)
Regulation CC (Funds Availability)
Regulation ZZ (Truth in Lending)
Truth in Savings Act
Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACT Act)
