FreeStar Financial Credit Union is looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Loan Clerk for our St. Clair Shores Branch. Days: Mon-Fri
Hours: 8:00-5:00

Position Purpose:
The primary purpose of a Loan Clerk is to assist Consumer Lending in maintaining all necessary documentation in order to remain in compliance with all regulatory agencies and maintain the necessary records to protect the assets of the credit union.
What You'll Do In This Role:
Compile, file, and track all titles and additional documents necessary to ensure the credit union's lien is perfected on all collateralized loans with the appropriate state.
Maintain correspondence and follow up with all outstanding lien filings over the phone, via email, and in writing with members and indirect dealers, if needed.
Responsible for retrieving Centralized Lending emails, faxed correspondence, and mail from members and staff.
Assist with Indirect account openings and loan funding.
Upload and maintain insurance documentation on collateralized loans.
Responsible for scanning/uploading and verifying all loan documentation has successfully been scanned into Nautilus/eFichency.
Prepare and image adverse action notices and mail out to the member to maintain compliance.
Process Skip-A-Pay requests upon receipt, from both members and Repayment Solutions.
Perform maintenance on accounts for reversing loan payments for misapplied or NSF payments.
Prepare Subsequent Action forms for the member.
Prepare paid loan letters and termination statements for paid loans.
Responsible for taking incoming branch and member phone calls and making outgoing calls to members as necessary.
Assist in documenting and revising procedures as assigned.
Maintain, retrieve, and file loans as needed in the file vault.
Prepare loan files for retention storage, following all policy and guidelines. Prepare and maintain retention logs, both paper and electronic, and compile reporting to initiate document purge in Nautilus.
What You'll Bring To FreeStar Financial:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of six months of experience in the financial industry or a related field.
