Freestone Environmental Services is seeking an environmental professional to join our team in Richland, Washington. The ideal candidate will have strong technical writing skills and experience working collaboratively in diverse project teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support regulatory document preparation related to facility and waste-site cleanup and closure at the Hanford Site near Richland, Washington.
- Initially work under senior-level guidance with an expectation of increasing responsibility, including leading a document team.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) in environmental science, engineering, geology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of project experience.
- Demonstrated project and task management experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Preferred experience with RCRA/CERCLA projects, including characterization and remediation of contaminated groundwater and soil, and facilities decommissioning planning and implementation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently while coordinating with project staff from multiple offices and agencies.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and effectively manage time and project resources.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic.
- Excellent writing and oral presentation skills.
