POSITION DESCRIPTION
The ED Director is a member of the Nursing Management Team. He/she directs and supervises the professional and other staff members assigned to the ED, supports and interprets the mission of Freestone Medical Center and promotes harmonious relationships among nursing personnel, medical staff, patients, and the public. He/She must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the severity and symptoms of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. Performs a full range of RN duties in accordance with assignment under the task order.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor Degree or Associate Degree in Nursing or a Diploma from a Nursing Program accredited by NLNAC or CCNE
Current RN license by Texas Board of Nursing
BLS required; ACLS required; PALS or ENPC required; TNCC or ATCN preferred
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of five years in emergency nursing/trauma patient care
1 year management experience
