Server Job Description
The successful server's main responsibility is attending to diners before, during, and after their meals by helping them place, receive, and pay for their orders. They also ensure the timely delivery of food and beverages by checking on their tables periodically throughout their service time. Ultimately, you’ll help provide an unforgettable dining experience for our guests!
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Greets guests with a smile and records orders.
- Understands the steps of service.
- Anticipates and addresses guests needs, records detailed and customized orders.
- Ability to sell the restaurants bar and food menus.
- Responsible for understanding the menu to better assist the guest with questions they may have.
- Takes payment, ability to effectively use our POS system.
- Positively communicates inquiries to the kitchen staff.
- Seats guests, busses tables, and is responsible for the cleanliness of the restaurant.
- Understands and adheres to all state alcohol guidelines.
- Understands and follows guidelines for restaurant operations.
- Responsible for assisting with opening and closing duties.
- Responsible for completing all shift work given.
JOB DUTIES:
- Ability to accept directions and priorities from Supervisor and reliably follow-through on tasks.
- Ability to perform job duties with a minimum of disruption to the guest.
- Ability to be friendly and cheerful; interacts easily with strangers.
- Ability to lead, cooperate, and support others.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Ability to be proactive and always thinking of the future.
- Ability to safely work with cleaning equipment and cleaning chemicals including vacuum cleaners, brooms, mops, etc.
- Good hand dexterity required.
- The employee is required to lift over 50 pounds, kneel, stoop and be able to work in a high-performance area.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.
- Grooming must meet Employee Handbook Standards.
REQUIRMENTS:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience serving required, casual and fine dining experience a plus.
- Certified alcohol server permit.
- Punctuality, ready to work when arriving for shifts.
- Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations.
- The ability to work as part of a team.
- The ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

All Servers report directly to the Food and Beverage Manager
