*Freight Coordinator (Dispatch)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Booking freight from current customers and pairing trucks with new loads
Must understand booking and prebooking loads to keep drivers moving within their avaible hours of service according to DOT and state laws governing drivers
Communicating with customers about freight details, delivery or pick up times, and special handling request
Maintaining records of dispatched calls, driver routes, and route changes
Respond to phone and email request from customers and brokers
Monitoring truck repairs and maintenance schedules
Negotiate rates and have market awareness of constantly changing industry price fluctuations
Collaborate with company drivers and owner operators when booking loads and to make sure they have the avaible hours of service to complete deliveries on time

RESPONSIBILITIES
Scheduling appointments
Updating locations and ensuring on time delivery
Helping to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information skillfully, work well in a group problem solving situations
Negotiating detention and layover fees with customers
Constant communication with dispatch about drivers and loads
Receive BOL’s from drivers once loads are completed
Help and assist dispatch with any issues that may arise
QUALIFICATIONS
2-3 years in the transportation and logistics field
Strong communication skills via phone, email, and face to face
Extensive experience with transportation management software
Work well in a fast paced environment
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Highly organized with the ability to follow through in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of applicable transportation regulations and laws
