Position Opening | Photographer in Residence
OVERVIEW
The Freeway Park Association (FPA) seeks to hire a 2024 Photographer in Residence in the park. FPA provides dynamic programs and events for Freeway Park and we like to work with new artists every year who can lend a fresh perspective on the park, its landscape and its visitors as well as capture the many layers of our dynamic events.
The 2024 Photographer in Residence will work closely with the Executive Director and the Public Art Coordinator for guidance as well as a schedule of deliverables. We’re looking for someone who has experience documenting events, people and the public realm. Art and architectural photography experience is a plus.

SCOPE OF WORK
- Documentation of several public events from August 2023 - March 2024. Dates - TBD. FPA is still finalizing our 2024 calendar of events.
- Three photo essays of Summer, Fall and Winter in the park - dates TBD.
- Staff/Board Headshots session - dates TBD.
- 5-10 preview images submitted the day of the event
- Final event images submitted 10-14 business days after each event
COMPENSATION
This position is a contract position with a stipend of $1500. The artist and FPA will determine the best schedule for payments that work for both parties. There is potential for added funding for more work to support other photography needs as they arise.
