Customs Entry Writer
My client is looking for someone energetic to to join them as an Entry Writer. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in logistics and an understanding of customs regulations and procedures. You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and compliant movement of goods across international borders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit customs entries in compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Classify goods using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS).
- Ensure accurate documentation for shipments, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and other required documents.
- Coordinate with clients, customs officials, and internal teams to address inquiries or resolve issues.
- Stay updated on changes in customs regulations, trade policies, and compliance requirements.
- Track shipments to ensure timely clearance and delivery.
- Maintain organized records of customs entries and related documentation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in logistics, customs brokerage, or a related field.
- Knowledge of customs regulations, HTS classification, and trade compliance.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using customs software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
