Loader/Unloader

At Freight Dispatch, we are a trusted logistics and transportation company specializing in delivering freight services across the country. We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Loader/Unloader to join our team. In this role, you will help ensure that our shipments are loaded and unloaded efficiently, accurately, and safely, supporting the smooth operation of our daily logistics activities.

As a Loader/Unloader at Freight Dispatch, you will be responsible for loading and unloading freight from trucks, trailers, and other transportation vehicles. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will also play a key role in ensuring that items are handled safely and that shipments are processed without damage.

Responsibilities:

- Load and unload freight onto trucks, trailers, and containers.

- Verify the accuracy of the load according to the shipment order.

- Organize and secure cargo to prevent shifting or damage during transportation.

- Assist with the preparation and checking of freight documents.

- Ensure all equipment is used safely and properly maintained.

- Perform routine inventory checks and assist in organizing goods in the warehouse.

- Communicate with the dispatch team to ensure timely and efficient delivery.

- Follow safety protocols and company guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Previous experience in loading/unloading or warehouse operations is a plus.

- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks for extended periods.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Forklift certification or experience is a plus but not required.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $21.40 per hour
