At Freight MVMT, we are experiencing growth like never before! Our owner operator drivers look to us for load planning, requiring expertise in freight markets, compliance, and organization to deliver on their needs. Our dispatchers will analyze freight markets daily, search for and negotiate competitive rates on loads that meet driver preferences, enter data into a Transportation Management System, provide shipment updates for customers, and other related duties. Online training and Zoom coaching is available for those with limited or no experience and our network is structured to provide support as you learn to navigate the complex but rewarding world of trucking!
Our dispatchers are also urged to expand their network; the more drivers you manage, the more money you earn. As an added incentive, we offer referral programs with recurring commissions - rewarding you for bringing in owner operators and for retaining them by providing top-tier service.
This is a 1099 position and requires a smart phone with mobile service, laptop or tablet, and high speed internet access.

Duties
- Coordinate and schedule shipments by analyzing transportation needs and available resources.
- Utilize Transportation Management Systems to track shipments and manage freight logistics.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and vendors to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor shipping and receiving processes to guarantee timely deliveries.
- Analyze data to optimize routes and improve efficiency in transportation planning.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, including documentation related to shipping and receiving.
- Provide exceptional customer service through effective phone etiquette while handling inquiries or issues.
Skills
- Proficiency in Transportation Management Systems is preferred.
- Strong understanding of freight logistics and transportation management principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information clearly.
- Ability to analyze data effectively for decision-making purposes.
- Familiarity with phone systems and professional phone etiquette.
- Experience in shipping and receiving processes is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
