Position Overview

You will be responsible for :
Sourcing and managing carriers
Negotiating rates and securing capacity
Tracking loads from start to finish
Problem-solving real-time challenges
Ensuring on-time delivery and customer satisfaction
This role requires deep industry knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to think fast and execute effectively.
Key ResponsibilitiesLoad Management & Execution
Oversee the full cycle of load management, from booking to delivery.
Secure reliable capacity for open deck and heavy haul shipments.
Coordinate load details with carriers, ensuring all requirements are met (permits, escorts, specialized equipment).
Track and monitor loads to ensure on-time pickup and delivery.
Proactively identify and solve potential transit issues before they escalate.
Carrier Relations & Capacity Procurement
Build strong relationships with open deck carriers, owner-operators, and asset-based partners.
Negotiate competitive rates while maintaining service quality and profit margins.
Identify and onboard new carrier partners to expand Freight Stack’s capacity network.
Ensure compliance with safety, insurance, and equipment requirements.
Problem-Solving & Real-Time Logistics
Manage delays, breakdowns, and last-minute changes with creative, fast solutions.
Communicate effectively with drivers, dispatchers, and customers to keep shipments on track.
Adjust plans quickly based on market conditions, weather, and unforeseen challenges.
What We’re Looking For
2 years of experience in freight brokerage or carrier operations with a focus on open deck freight.
Strong understanding of load securement, permits, and specialized equipment needs.
Proven ability to source carriers and negotiate rates in a dynamic market.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make fast, informed decisions.
Ability to manage multiple loads, prioritize tasks, and handle high-pressure situations.
